LOCAL NEWS

Congrats to Mitch Cohen
Mitch Cohen is the president of The Daniels Corporation and he’s also the very personable face of the revitalization that’s happening in Regent Park.  He’s just been awarded the Order of Canada. The Governor General commended him “for his contributions to urban development and for his commitment to community building.” You can find his biography on LinkedIn.

Congrats to River City 3
Designed by Saucier+Perrotte Architectes and Zas Architects, River City 3 has just won the Best Tall Building Award of Excellence from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. The 29-storey building near River and Queen is the first in Toronto to win this international award.  It’s made from randomly stacked cubes that “liberate Toronto condominium design from its usual constraints.”  Check out the full story with all the details here.

GoFundMe for the CYC
To date, the GoFundMe drive has collected over $13,000 to support the CYC’s After 4 program.  One donor has given $5,000!  Make your donation - big or small - click here.
